For Insurance Companies:
Please email us at claims@gemlab.co.nz with your instructions. See full guide under "Read More" below.
For Owners:
If you have lost, stolen or damaged jewellery and/or watches your first step will be to contact your insurance company and lodge a claim. At the same time, you can send them the copies of your valuations for your lost items. If you need copies of your previous GemLab valuations contact us.
If you have a problematic jewellery claim that needs an independent second opinion, we can help. Please contact us with copies of all relevant communications, documentation, photos, etc to do with the claim along with a summary of what the problem is. We will review and let you know if our report would be worth your while paying for.
If you have existing GemLab valuations, in your name and that are less than 10 years old, in most cases we can update the reports without needing to re-examine the items.
Please contact us with the GemLab reference numbers, photos of the items, and the reason you need the update – insurance cover, insurance claim, selling, legal, etc.
If you require copies of misplaced valuations, please contact us with your name, address at the time of valuation and a brief description of the items.
We will reply with confirmation and a quote.
Alternatively, if you have jewellery and/or watch items that need to come to us for valuing you can contact us to find your nearest jeweller that will arrange a GemLab valuation for you.
We provide professional independent valuation reports for all legal purposes.
Divorce proceedings, insurance claim disputes, small claims, commercial disputes are some of the areas covered.
